About
The DIRN seeks to connect researchers around the world studying the intimate side of digital society and cultures: from sex, romance, friendship and family to misinformation, harassment, and cancellation. We are a group of scholars across a range of disciplines including sociology, media and cultural studies, and beyond looking to build connections, share information, and foster new opportunities. We are particularly interested in supporting junior researchers to establish networks and opportunities for collaboration, and in joining together researchers in disparate fields who have a common set of interests in digital intimacies.

Respect & inclusion
This network is a welcoming space for new and diverse researchers. Network members are expected to contribute to a supportive and collegial environment for people of all genders, sexual orientations, ages, abilities, and ethnicities. Our members work on explicit, political, and sometimes confronting material.
